- Becoming a member of our club involves following a few easy steps:
1 - You can either contact us by phone, e-mail or via Facebook to ask about which class you would like to attend, or alternatively simply turn up to one of our classes 10 minutes before the start to enrol.
2 - When you arrive you will be asked to complete a couple of forms. If you are under 18 years of age these forms must be completed by your parent/guardian so please ask them to come along with you on your first visit.
MEMBERSHIP TO DENTO-KAI KARATE IS FREE.
Unlike most clubs we do not charge a membership fee to our club members. All you are asked to pay is your lesson fee each time you train. Our aim at Dento-Kai Karate is to provide club members' with a high level of karate instruction at a fair and sensible cost. There are no excessive up-front membership fees or extortionate monthly training fees to pay, which you may find to be the case elsewhere. Established since 1985 we want our classes to be accessible to everyone in the community who want to gain the benefits of learning self-defence and an effective martial art within a long established Club.
3 - Once your forms have been fully completed if you wear some loose clothing you are welcome to join in the class on the day and enjoy the training.
4 - If you enjoy the training, as we are sure you will, we will look forward to seeing you again at our next weekly class. You will also want to enquire about purchasing a karate suit. Our karate suits come with a belt and club badge and your Club Instructor will be happy to provide you with further details.
We are open throughout the year including school holidays and close only at Christmas. We hold regular club gradings every three months for members who attend weekly classes. All karate equipment and club sweatshirts can be ordered through your Club Instructor.
